With the Pallet Buddy: you put the pallet in at floor level with a pallet truck or forklift and it lifts the stack, then gives the pallets back one at a time, always at floor level. It handles only empty, undamaged pallets of the size it is built for.

It depends on how many pallets you want in the stack and their size: the PB 15 holds 15 pallets and 500 kg and is 2350 mm high, the PB 25 holds 25 pallets and 700 kg and is 3750 mm high. The S versions are for 1200 × 1000 mm pallets, the others for 1200 × 800 mm; check that there is enough free height above it.

Yes: it has an emergency stop on the panel and a light curtain that stops the machine if someone enters the danger zone; it is operated by one person at a time. Optional extras are the safety gate with switch, so the Buddy only works with the gate closed, and 10 mm steel guards against forklift impacts.

Little, on a schedule: every month the sensors and reflectors are cleaned, every six months the profiles are lubricated, and once a year the emergency stop, light curtain and gate switch are checked and bolts and nuts are tightened. The work is done by trained technical staff with the machine disconnected.
